Week of May 25-29

Grade one students will continue learning how to draw a still life composition, to do this they will use oil pastels.

 

 

Grade two will draw altered shapes, to do this they will use oil pastels.

 

 

Grade three will continue creating their hands designs, to do this they will use color pencils, and markers.

Grade four will study the compositional style of Keith Haring, later they will create designs of human silhouettes using markers.

 

Grade five students will learn about symmetry and patterns, to do this they will design some Greek vase using markers and crayons.

Week of May 18-22

Week of May 4-8

Grade one students will learn how to behave in a museum, and they will practice this knowledge visiting our art exhibit.

Grade two will continue learning about context and background, they will answer the question, where would you take Mona Lisa, and to do this they will use markers and crayons.

Grade three will continue creating their hands designs, to do this they will use color pencils, and markers.

Grade four will continue using musical figures to create compositions, to do this they will use a mixt technique with markers, color pencils, and crayons.

Grade five students will continue using new support for their designs, to do this they will use pages from old book, markers and color pencils.

 

Week of April 27-May 1

Grade one students will learn how to behave in a museum, so they will be ready when we display our art exhibit.

 

Grade two will learn about context and background, they will answer the question, where would you take Mona Lisa, and to do this they will use markers and crayons.

Grade three will trace their hands on paper, and later, they will draw different designs inside them, to do this they will use color pencils, and markers.

Grade four will use musical figures to create compositions, to do this they will use a mixt technique with markers, color pencils, and crayons.

Grade five students will learn how different materials can be used as support for a design, to do this they will use pages from old book, markers and color pencils.

 

Week of April 20-24

Grade one students will continue creating a stencil composition, to do this they will use masking tape, paintbrush, and tempera paint.

 

Grade two will continue drawing their butterfly design, to do this they will use oil pastels and water colors.

Grade three will continue drawing a geometrical patterns composition, to do this they will use scratch paper and knitting needles.

Grade four will continue creating cubist portraits, to do this they will use tempera and oil pastels.

 

Grade five students has painted both sides of their paper, this week they will continue creating a paper sculpture, to do this they will use paper, scissors, Elmer’s glue, and paper clips.

Week of April 13-17

Grade one students will create stencil composition, to do this they will use masking tape, paintbrush, and tempera paint.

Grade two will learn what symmetry means and why butterflies wings are called symmetrical, then they will draw a butterfly, to do this they will use oil pastels and water colors.

Grade three will create a geometrical patterns composition, to do this they will use scratch paper and knitting needles.

Grade four will continue creating cubist portraits, to do this they will use tempera and oil pastels.

Grade five students has painted both sides of their paper, this week they will continue creating a paper sculpture, to do this they will use paper, scissors, Elmer’s glue, and paper clips.

Week of April 6-10

Grade one students will continue using tempera paint this week, they will create some free style compositions, first with warm colors, and then with cool colors.

Grade two will continue creating a seascape composition using watercolors.

Grade three will continue finish their neoplastic composition, they will paint with black tempera between the color areas.

Grade four will continue creating cubist portraits, to do this they will use tempera and oil pastels.

Grade five will continue creating a paper sculpture, to do this they will use paper, scissors, and tempera paint.

Week of March 23-27

Grade one students will use tempera paint this week, they will create some free style compositions, first with warm colors, and then with cool colors.

Week of March 16-20

The Early Childhood and Elementary are carrying out a READ – A – THON, and grade one students will continue creating an art composition inspired on a Dr. Seuss character, to do this they will use: crayons, markers, color pencils.

Grade two students create an underwater scene with sea turtles, to do this they will use the resist technique, this week they will apply the water color.

Grade three students will continue learning about neo plastic art stile, then they will create an abstract geometrical composition, this week they will use tempera paint to fill in the areas of their composition.

Grade four will continue learning how to draw tree compositions, to do this they will use charcoal pencil.

Grade five will create natural landscape in the style of Emily Carr, to do this, they will use oil pastels and watercolors.
